“I can help your child break through autistic tendencies.” |
||
Robert Jay Bernstein, Educational Therapist, diagnoses the learning process of individuals and remediates difficulties in learning and behavioral problems. He is able to break through autistic tendencies, facilitating speech in children, often providing relief to people who have experienced years of frustration. Mr. Bernstein holds a Masters degree in Special Education from Teachers College of Columbia University. He has more than three decades of experience in Educational Therapy. Mr. Bernstein has consulted for neurologists, neuropsychologists, psychiatrists, pediatricians, speech therapists, religious institutions, and schools. He has been profiled in the New York Times, had his own call-in radio show entitled “Educating Your Child,” conducted seminars, and trained students in the cognitive process of learning. He is also a consultant for the National Council on Alcoholism and other Drug Dependencies. Autism (or ASD) is said to be a permanent disorder, but much can be done to “normalize” the child. Speech improvement is one helpful intervention among others. Asperger's young adults in college, for example, require a specific support system for success in interpersonal issues. Rob Bernstein uses a cognitive approach to get children to speak and communicate better through language, thereby improving relationships with others. Social skills for autistic children and Asperger's young adults are uniquely addressed in Rob's presentations and workshops. |
